The scientific evidence base shows that the climate of South Australia is changing. South Australia is becoming hotter and drier, with rising sea levels and an increased risk of more frequent and intense heatwaves, bushfires, storms, and floods.
We know climate change will challenge the resilience of our natural resources, our infrastructure, our financial security and economic competitiveness, and the health and wellbeing of our people. Making decisions for our state’s future requires us to understand the change, as well as its expected impacts.
The South Australian Government has just released its
Climate Change Science and Knowledge Plan. The plan seeks to grow the scientific evidence base to support South Australia’s responses to climate change.
