Clearing the Browser Cache
Some problems you might experience with NatureMaps such as; site loading and performance, layers failing to draw, and issues with print outputs can be resolved by simply clearing the cache in your browser.
Use the steps in the guides below for the browser(s) that you use:

Coastal Oblique Photographs
Naturemaps has a comprehensive catalog of oblique coastal photography. These are a great way to understand a section of coastline.
These can be found in the Photo Centres and Flight Lines theme and - turn on Oblique Photographs. Click on a feature point on the map to open the photo.

Saving a NatureMaps project
Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to save a NatureMaps project for future use.
NatureMaps 3.0 has no time-out limit, meaning your session will remain active indefinitely and there is no need to save your progress.

Can I upload data from my GPS?
Yes - using the
Upload Data Tool under the Basic Tools Tab, select the .gpx file from your destop and the layer will be loaded in to your current map.

What is the date of the imagery?
The imagery base layer is a mosaic of imagery, using the latest available imagery at the highest resolution for any given area. Imagery dates will therefore vary accross the state.

Can I select features in a given area (e.g. NPWSA Reserve)?
- Draw a polygon (freehand or polygon) around the area you require using the
Draw tool in the
Tools menu.
- Create a query (using the
Query tool from the
Tools menu) for the layer you which to select from and set the
Spatial Filter to
All Polygon Drawings.
- The query results will highlight all features from the selected layer that fall within your markup and present in a table format.
- Note: if you have already drawn a polygon, this will also be used unless it is deleted.
To do this, turn in the Imagery baselayer, then the
Topographic Overlay layer (Overlays theme) in the
Layers page Information Panel.
