The Climate Change Science and Knowledge Plan for South Australia
identifies the science and information required to implement a whole-of-government climate change strategy and to ensure the climate change information needs of all sectors are addressed. It provides a comprehensive plan to prioritise, coordinate, translate and deliver the science and information required to address climate change response planning in South Australia.
The plan addresses the need to provide high quality, accessible information, a critical component of the Directions for a Climate Smart South Australia
. The State Government’s new climate change strategy will set out the next phase of government action that will help build a strong, climate smart economy, further reduce the state’s greenhouse gas emissions, and support South Australians adapt to a changing climate.
Implementation of the Climate Change Science and Knowledge Plan will improve the evidence base to support all of South Australia’s responses to climate change.
