Welcome to NatureMaps

NatureMaps is an initiative of the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources that provides a common access point to maps and geographic information about South Australia's natural resources in an interactive online mapping format.


The vision for NatureMaps is to support the State's natural resource management by providing access to a comprehensive range of information about South Australia's natural resources, through the exploration of maps and geographic features.


Use NatureMaps 3.0 to navigate to an area of interest and display a range of GIS datasets including:
  • Administrative Boundaries
  • Cadastral Information
  • Coast and Marine
  • Fauna and Flora
  • Fire
  • Heritage and Tourism
  • Landscapes
  • ​Protected Areas
  • Tenure and Landuse
  • Vegetation Mapping
